 Frank E. Driskill, 92, Melbourne, Fla., passed away surrounded by love July 14, 2011.
He was married for 65 years to his beloved wife Virginia Estelle (Bower). Preceded
in death by children Glenn Edward Driskill and Bonnie Driskill Franklin, he was the
loving father of Larry (Joni) Driskill, Jill (Jim) Ruthe meyer, Robin Driskill, and
Dean (Eileen) Driskill, and dear "Pappy" to 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He
is also survived by brother, Earl Driskill of Lynchburg, Virginia.
Frank was a retired Postal Inspector serving Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky and later
at the Postal Inspector Headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as teaching at
the Postal Inspectors Institute. He was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps, and
deployed to Europe aboard the QEI.
Frank was an active member of Palmdale
Presbyterian Church, Elder of Presbyterian Church USA, former choir member and
Sunday School Teacher. Dear to Franks heart were his volunteer activities in:
Salvation Army Bell Ringers, Cold Night Shelter, Crop Walk, Melbourne Soup Kitchen,
Smile Train, and NARFE. His winning smile and generous spirit will be missed by all
who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Palmdale Pres byterian Church on August 20th
at 11:00. Donations can be made to Palmdale Presbyterian Church, 684 N. Harbor
City Blvd., Melbourne, Fla. 32935 with designations to: Salvation Army, Crop Walk,
or Smile Train USA.
