Saturday, October 9th (an optional prereunion activity day)
Those arriving on Saturday will have the opportunity to attend the Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo and/or the famous Billy Bob's (The World's Largest Honky Tonk). Note that for Saturday only the hotel room rate is $149.

Sunday, October 10th
Registration will run 1PM to 10PM. The hospitality room will be open 1PM to 5PM. There will be a dinner break from 5PM to 7PM. The hospitality room will reopen 7PM to 11PM.

Fort Worth Stockyards Station (free admission and near our hotel)
Kimbell Art Museum (free admission) and a $5 transportation fee.
Amon Carter Museum (free admission)

Please join us for dinner (on your own) at the famous Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant.

Monday, October 11th
Sixth Floor Museum located in Dallas will leave the hotel at 9:00am. The Sixth Floor Museum Tour will begin at 10:00 am. Exhibits within the museum allows you to examine the life, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy through artifacts, photographs, documentary film, key evidentiary areas, eyewitness accounts and interactive educational programming on both sixth and seventh floors.

After finishing this tour, you will be taken to the Ranger’s Ball Park located in Arlington, Texas for lunch (on your own) at the Ball Park.
 
The tour will resume at the Cowboy’s Stadium at approximately 1:30 pm located just a short distance from the ball park. This will be a preview of the home of 2011 Super Bowl. There will be considerable walking involved for participants of both tours. The Cowboy’s Stadium tour will be 1 and ½ hours. It is suggested that you wear COMFORTABLE shoes and clothing. The Cowboy’s Stadium does have a limited number of wheel chairs for usage, provided previous tours have not taken them. Each tour group may have from 40 to 50 people. Should we have more than one tour group, each of the remaining tours will begin every 10 minutes.

The Cowboy's Stadium tour allows you to get behind-the-scenes access to several areas including Cowboys Locker Room, Cheerleaders Locker Room, Playing Field, Private Club, Player Interview Room and possibly other areas. ALL tours are subject to availability and might not be available on the date of your tour. They are subject to change without notice. These tours will be confirmed in September 2010. Return trip to hotel will leave at 4:00pm.

Cowboy's Stadium Tour ONLY will leave directly from the hotel at 12:45pm. Individuals that prefer this portion of the tour should plan to have lunch prior to departing on bus.

The Mid-America Region Meeting will be held 4:30PM to 5:30PM. It will be followed by the Executive Committee Meeting from 5:30PM to 6:30PM.

Tuesday, October 12th

Fort Worth History Tour will be guided by Wayne Thompson and will leave the hotel at 8:30am. First, you will be taken to the Tarrant County Courthouse for a museum tour reflecting the founding of Fort Worth. There are many original items from the Dragoon & Infantry Units that first established the area. Next, you will walk about 3 and ½ blocks to the Sid Richardson Museum. There you will see one of the finest collections of western art by Charles M Russell and Frederick Remington. This will be a self guided tour within the museum. Then you will see two Cattle Baron Mansions. Thistle Hill (1903) and The Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House. (1899) for a glimpse into the homes of two Texas families. This outing will require COMFORTABLE shoes and clothing. Lunch on your own and return to the hotel should be approximately 1:00 pm.

US Mint Tour will leave at 12:45 pm from the hotel. Since you will need to go through security 30 minutes prior to the tour, you will need to leave ALL cameras, cell phones, video equipment and tape recorders at the hotel. Please refer to the brochure attached for more details. This will be a 45 minute walking tour. They also provide wheel chairs for those who may need them at the facility. At the Tour and Visitor Center you are invited to view the printing of paper currency along an enclosed walkway suspended over the production floor. Visitor will also enjoy two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing the history of paper currency and the intricacies of the currency production process. The mint has a really nice gift shop that you may want to take the time to visit. They do accept credit cards and you will have access to an ATM too.

Tour of Fort Worth DHQ including National Law Enforcement Communications Center will be held 1-4PM.

The NARPI National Business Meeting will be held 4:30 to 5:30PM.

The Banquet BBQ Buffet will start at 7PM with a cash bar opening at 6PM.


Wednesday, October 13th.

Golf (note the date change) at the Golf Club at Champions Circle located in North Fort Worth near the Texas Motor Speedway. Tee times will start at 9:00 am. Plan to meet in hotel no later than 8:00am.

We are offering the same (Tuesday) tours for those who would like to take the tour that may have conflicted with the tour choice on Tuesday. Only the times have changed.

Our hotel with be the Hyatt Place - Fort Worth Historic Stockyards, 132 E. Exchange, Fort Worth, TX 76164. Call Launa Dyer at hotel, 817-378-1704, extended to September 15th. Request the ARPI rate, yes, it is ARPI, of $99 for Sunday - Thursday nights. The rate for Saturday night is $149. Please make your room reservations directly with the hotel.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION: The Reunion Committee plans to offer FREE transportation from the airport to the hotel for those who DO NOT wish to use a rental car or taxi. Reservations are required. Please contact Lin (Linda) Thompson by email or call 817.498.2104 with your name, # in party, contact numbers (HOME and CELL), airlines and flight number with time of arrival, etc.
