Postal Facility Consolidations. Over 200 major facilities are being consolidated nationwide. This list includes some that were considered but were disapproved.

S 1789, 21st Century Postal Service Act of 2011, was introduced 11-2-2011 and calls for pulling both postal workers and postal retirees from FEHBP. Postal retirees would be required to have Medicare B. The Postal Service would provide something similar to Medi-Gap coverage. The USPS expects to cut their health benefit expenses by 50%. This bill allows includes FECA Reform which impacts all federal workers on OWCP. It requires them to take a regular retirement at the "normal" retirement age. This bill has been cleared by its committee and is waiting for a vote in the Senate. It is reportedly on the "fast track".
NARFE said on 1-27-2012 that it may have a Senate vote during the week of 1-30-2012.
